1. Who is Biotrin?

Biotrin is a diagnostics company that specialises in providing a range of novel and proprietary tests for the clinician and research scientist. Established in 1992, the company has two distinct business units: Infectious Diseases, which provides tests for the detection of new and emerging viruses; and Biomarkers, which include a range of novel, proprietary biomarkers to assess organ and tissue damage.

2. Where is Biotrin located?

Biotrin's headquarters are in Dublin, Ireland, where it conducts its R&D, manufacturing and marketing activities. The company sells directly in the USA, Ireland and France and also employs a network of over 40 distributors worldwide. ( MAP)

3. Are the Biotrin products FDA approved and CE marked?

Biotrin International Ltd is a FDA registered manufacturing site, with compliance to ISO13485, Canadian Medical Devices Conformity Assessment System and the 98/79/EC IVD Directive. The Parvovirus B19 ELISA kits are FDA approved. All other Biotrin products intended for human in-vitro diagnostic use are CE marked.

4. How do I place an order?

• A Sales Order Acknowledgement will be sent to confirm receipt of your order within 1 working day.

1. Shipping address  (PO Box number not acceptable)
2. Contact Name
3. Billing Address (if different to shipping address)
4. Purchase Order Number
5. Catalogue Number / Name of product / Quantity required
6. Employer Identification Number (EIN) - USA only  / VAT Registration  Number (Rest of World)
7. Phone /fax number / email
8. Delivery due date
9. Special Requests (e.g. specific lot, shelf life, insurance, part shipments etc)
10. Freight carrier to be used (if not specified Biotrin reserves right to nominate carrier)

5. How do I pay for my order?

• Visa / MasterCard (Processing fee will be charged for each credit card transaction)
• Inter-bank wire transfer

6. If I place an order today how quickly can I receive it?

Biotrin shipping days are:

• North America /South America/ Canada:  Monday – Wednesday
• Western Europe /Central Europe: Monday - Thursday
• Eastern Europe: Monday – Wednesday
• Asia Pacific/ Australia/New Zealand/ South Africa: Friday

7. What is Biotrin’s product return policy?

• Biotrin in line with its strict Quality Assurance Regulations will not accept back any product (s) ordered in error by the Buyer.
  
• Notification of defects shall only be recognised if filed in writing within two (2) weeks of receipt of the goods, together with supporting evidence, stating the invoice number and date, and the markings on the packaging.
  
• Hidden defects must be notified to Biotrin immediately upon discovery, but not later than one month after receipt of the goods. This shall not affect the periods of limitation. The burden of proving that a defect is a hidden defect shall rest with the Buyer.
  
• Goods forming the subject of a complaint shall not be returned to Biotrin except with Biotrin’s express consent.

9. I am interested in becoming a distributor for Biotrin – how should I proceed?

Biotrin has over 40 distributors worldwide and is constantly expanding into new markets . If you are interested in representing Biotrin in your country please email info@biotrin.ie

10. I have a product or service that I think Biotrin might be interested in - who should I contact?

Biotrin specialise in the area of niche and novel products and are always interested in new products and technologies.  If you believe that you have a product or technology that you think Biotrin would be interested in please email info@biotrin.ie

11. I would like to gain access to Instructions for Use, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and/or marketing material. How do I gain access to these?

MSDS and All the Biotrin marketing material is available on request. Fill in form requesting the quantity that you require and press send. You will be contacted by a member of the marketing team to confirm when you will receive your material.

Instructions for Use: these are also available on–line however, this area is password protected. Simply fill in the partnership form. This will then be sent to our webmaster to provide you with access.

Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS): These are available by contacting our customer service department.  Please send an email to info@biotrin.ie with your specific request and these will be forwarded to you via email.
