International Sales Executive - Biomarker Business Unit (BBU)
 
REPORTING TO: 

Sales and Marketing Manager (BBU) 

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

The International Sales Executive’s key responsibility is to assist in the development and management of customer sales for the business unit. The key target markets are worldwide major pharmaceutical companies, clinical research organisations, academia, hospitals and distribution companies.

MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensuring achievement of sales targets
  • Managing and developing our existing client base (CRM software already in place – GOLDMINE)
  • Develop new accounts and sales leads via telesales/face to face meetings/email.
  • Assist the sales and marketing manager with the management of distributor networks around the world to maximise sales
  • Present the Biotrin’s products at scientific tradeshows in the USA.
  • Research new markets and assist with the appointment of new distributors
  • Prepare quotations and manage the sales process with customers
  • Organise and attend tradeshows around the world (principally USA and Europe)
  • Identify & feedback key market & competitor information
  • Liase with Marketing / R&D / Business development and other departments in relation to Biomarker projects / issues.
  • Develop relationships with Key Opinion Leaders
  • Carry out market research studies for new products as directed.
  • Manage the production of company flyers and promotional material with the sales and marketing manager
  • Be responsible for day-to-day activities relating to biomarker products e.g. customer complaints, product issues, customer service, regulatory issues etc.
  • General administration, filing and marketing support

PRINCIPAL QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:

  • A 3rd level qualification in a Life Science subject is essential
  • A minimum of 2 years successful sales experience
    Thorough computer literacy

RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER JOBS / DEPARTMENTS:

Post involves liaison with R&D in relation to customer technical queries/ product development, and Business Development primarily

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Ideal candidate will possess a strong sales track record and direct sales experience, preferably in life sciences/pharmaceutical industry.  Candidate should have experience selling and presenting at all levels within an organisation.

SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES:

This position will require travel internationally to attend conferences and customer visits (typically 4-5 days per 2 month period).
