JOB TITLE:

Production Scientist

REPORTING TO:

Production Manager

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

Manufacture of Diagnostic Products to meet Production Schedule.

MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manufacture of IFA/EIA kits
• Maintenance and calibration of equipment
• Incoming checks on raw materials
• Monitoring and ensuring adequate stock levels of raw materials and consumables
• Carrying out tasks according to official procedures
• Training of new staff

PRINCIPAL QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:

Degree or Diploma in a Biological Science

RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER JOBS / DEPARTMENTS:

Interaction with QC, R&D and QA

WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Tissue culture experience
• Analytical testing in a laboratory

KEY SKILLS:

• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to pay close attention to detail
• Analytical laboratory skills
• Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
