Biotrin launches a new diagnostic tool for the diagnosis of Influenza A H1N1 in the Irish market.  This product is part of its distributed range of products from Vircell SL.  

The new Speed-oligo® Novel Influenza A H1N1 kit  (ref. SP015) allows for the visual and direct analysis of a PCR, in just 5 minutes.  The kit contains all reagents necessary to perform the PCR reaction (including several PCR mix prepared vials in lyophilized format) and the strip detection.

The new test was developed by Vircell in conjunction with several Spanish hospitals.  It offers laboratories a new sensitive and specific diagnostic method to detect the swine flu strain of Influenza A, which has been circulating on a pandemic scale since its identification in Mexico in April 2009.
