JOB TITLE:

Technical Scientist

REPORTING TO:

Technical Support Manager

MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To assist in the investigation of technical problems with kits as they arise.
• Shelf-life extension studies.
• Assist with improving technical performance of kits to reduce problems during manufacture.
• Collation and generation of data for clinical trials.
• Perform and assist in additional duties as may be directed by the Technical Support Manager.

PRINCIPAL QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:

Degree or Diploma in a Biological Science.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Development of ELISA assays
• Analytical testing in a laboratory.
• Experience working in a GMP regulated environment.
• Trouble shooting assay methodologies.

KEY SKILLS:

• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Basic understanding of biochemical principles
• Analytical laboratory skills
• Ability to function effectively as part of a team
• Basic knowledge of laboratory safety
• Ability to work under pressure
